Embarrassment is the big, shy newcomer of Inside Out 2: the tallest Emotion, who answers every awkward moment by vanishing into his own hood.
He's the one people reach for when they want the joke of the cast, the giant who'd rather disappear.
He comes down to a single move: bright-pink skin under a magenta hoodie pulled up over the head. Land the color and the hood-up posture and he's unmistakable, no prop or line needed.
There's no costume to buy here, only a build.
The hoodie that carries his name is fan merch, not the screen look, so the real spend is two pieces — a fuchsia wig and pink makeup — over closet basics.

The two pieces worth buying are a short fuchsia wig and bright-pink skin makeup, about $26 together. Pull the hood up and the silhouette lands the rest.
No retailer sells a boxed Embarrassment costume, so you build him. The shape is closet-simple: a light-magenta hooded hoodie, purple jeans, and red sneakers with white soles. Pull the hood up: that hide-inside-the-hood posture is half the character.
Thrift carries most of it. A magenta or light-pink hoodie turns up on resale racks, the purple jeans and red sneakers you likely already own, and none of it needs to be exact.
Two pieces are worth buying new, about $26 together. The first is the pink skin: Snazaroo’s single-colour face paint in Bright Pink at Michaels, $9.99 for an 18 ml pot — water-activated, and the single pot gives you far more of the one colour you need than a mixed palette does. Face paint is the one component worth buying in person: you can check the colour against the hoodie before you commit.
The second is the hair: HalloweenCostumes.com’s Hot Pink Bob Wig, $15.99, a short bob cut with blunt bangs and no part, on an 18–26” elastic cap. Buy it for the shape as much as the shade. The bob and the hood do the silhouette together. It’s not returnable once you open the package, so treat it as a final purchase.
Without the pink skin, the hoodie and jeans are just clothes, not a costume. Buy those two, pull the rest from the closet, and the hood-up giant lands.
One thing we checked and left out: Disney Store sells a licensed Embarrassment pullover hoodie with the character printed across the front. It’s officially licensed and it’s a real thing you can buy, but it puts his face on your chest rather than putting you in his clothes — to wear it as Embarrassment you’d have to turn it inside out. That makes it merch, not a costume, so it isn’t in the build above. How we pick covers where we draw that line.
