Coraline is the rare costume with nothing to assemble — one fixed outfit, head to toe. The coat is the only thing that changes, and how close to the film you take it is up to you.
An off-the-shelf kit covers the look for a party; a handmade version adds the star-lined hood and skeleton-key clip from the movie. Covered or screen-exact.

Spirit’s adult Coraline kit ($49.99) is the whole look in one box: the yellow hooded jacket, boot covers, blue wig, and the dragonfly hair piece. It runs through a 2X.
The boot covers are the weak link in every mass kit, and that includes this one. They sit loosely over real shoes, so skip them in favor of your own yellow rain boots. The wig is a basic bob that looks sharper after a quick brush-out.
For most people, this is the Coraline costume: complete and cheap.
For the screen-exact coat, Wicked & Wonder hand-makes it in yellow vinyl with the details the mass kits skip: the blue-and-yellow star lining inside the hood and the patent-leather skeleton-key appliqué Coraline carries in the film.
It runs women’s 8–16, with custom sizing on request. Two things to know going in: it includes the coat, not the wig, boots, or dragonfly clip, and the handmade build runs about 2–3 weeks most of the year, 3–4 weeks once October hits.
