Beetlejuice Costume in 2026: Where to Buy, and Why
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice put the ghost with the most back on screens in 2024, and the costume people went looking for is the same one from 1988: the black-and-white vertical-striped suit.
The sequel didn't restyle him, so there's no old-look-or-new decision to make. Every retailer sells the same striped suit.
What changes is how far you take it: a one-night costume or a suit you'll actually wear again.

Rubie's officially licensed costume: striped jacket, pants, and an attached mock shirt front
Rubie's classic suit has the deepest review pool — 760 Amazon ratings at 4.4 stars. The most-vouched-for striped suit.
None of these include the wig or the face paint, and Beetlejuice needs both: the bleached, mossed-out hair and the gray corpse face are half the character. A character wig is a separate buy, so budget for one.
For the face, a cream-makeup palette in white, gray, and black beats any mask. Gray out the hollows of the cheeks and eyes, and keep it cracked and dusty rather than smooth. The suit gets you recognized; the face gets the laugh.
Per-retailer reviews
Amazon — the most-reviewed striped suit
The version most people end up wearing is Rubie’s classic Beetlejuice costume, and its Amazon reviews say why: 760 ratings at 4.4 stars, deeper than any other Beetlejuice costume we checked. It’s the licensed striped set — jacket, pants, and an attached mock shirt front — in the black-and-white stripes both films share.
Amazon sells and ships it directly. Our Amazon links pay us nothing until the program clears, so this is a recommendation and not a placement: on price it matches HalloweenCostumes.com, and on reviews it isn’t close.
HalloweenCostumes.com builds its own licensed Beetlejuice costume in-house — the Made By Us line, not the Rubie’s version — and lists it at $34.99 in sizes XS through XL. The box holds the striped jacket, matching pants, and a shirt front with an attached collar and tie, so it wears as two pieces over your own shirt. It’s 100% polyester; the wig, shoes, and makeup are separate.
Across 29 reviews it holds 4.3 stars, 69% of them five. One buyer dressing a child who’s sensitive to how clothes feel called it roomy and comfortable; a six-foot-two buyer said the XL fit cleanly. A four-star reviewer found it a little tight under the arms, so size up if you’re broad through the shoulders.
Spirit sells its own officially licensed Beetlejuice suit for $69.99 in adult sizes S through XL. It’s polyester and hand-wash. Where the costume-grade sets use an attached shirt-front dickey, this one includes a real tie over a button-down front.
Its one advantage over an online order is the fitting room. Spirit runs seasonal stores where you can put the suit on, check the fit across the shoulders, and take it home the same trip. The review pool is small: 18 ratings at a displayed 5.0 stars.
OppoSuits makes the step-up option: an officially licensed three-piece built like a real suit instead of a costume. You get a two-button jacket with notch lapels and a double-vented back, matching trousers, and a coordinating tie, all in black-and-white striped poly twill you can machine wash. It runs $129.99 in US sizes 36 to 52.
The cut is slim, and OppoSuits says to size up if you’re between sizes. Its 46 reviews average 4.3 stars.
It costs about four times the costume-grade versions, so it’s the pick for anyone who’d rather buy a suit they’ll wear again than a costume they’ll box up in November.
Amazon / Rubie’s (Men’s Standard and XL): standard costume sizing, not tailored. With just two sizes offered, check the measurements before you choose.
HalloweenCostumes.com (XS–XL): 100% polyester that layers over your own shirt; broad-shouldered buyers should size up, since one reviewer found it tight under the arms.
Spirit Halloween (S–XL): adult costume sizing. Its seasonal stores are the one place in this lineup you can try the suit on and settle a between-sizes call before you buy.
OppoSuits (US 36–52): real slim-fit suit sizing, so measure your jacket size rather than guessing a costume size. OppoSuits says to size up if you’re between sizes.
